Eva Hatchner, a planning and policy analyst in NAU’s Planning, Budget and Institutional Research department, displays the Naturalization Certificate she received when she became an American citizen during naturalization proceedings in the U.S. District Court in Phoenix on May 25.
Born in Slovakia, Hatchner said having the right to vote and contribute to a sustainable society means the most to her.
“I hope that by staying informed and engaged, I can participate in the democratic process in a way that will make my fellow Americans proud,” Hatchner said.
