Youth camps promise learning and fun

A number of NAU-sponsored youth camps are being offered to help keep school-age kids physically and mentally active throughout the summer:

Forest Academies
The NAU Centennial Forest offers a variety of environmental education programs that connect kids to the forest with fun, hands-on activities designed to build critical thinking skills.

NAU Junior and Senior Summer Music Camps
Musically inclined junior high and high school students can enjoy working hard with instructors from all over the country who are chosen for their enthusiasm for working with young musicians.

Mountain Jacks Kids Camp
Children ages 3-11 can enjoy morning activities of sports and field games, arts and crafts, and experiential education sessions.

Dolphin Day Camp
Children in kindergarten through sixth grade get active in this afternoon camp with daily swimming, arts and crafts, field games, water safety education and weekly field trips.

Louie’s Leaders
Young adults ages 12-15 can learn valuable life skills based on the Character Counts leadership model. Activities include volunteer projects, American Red Cross certification, developing the camp newsletter and more. Half-day and full-day camps are available.

NAU Athletics Camps
For young athletes looking to elevate their game in a variety of sports, including basketball, soccer, track and field, football and volleyball.

NAU Language and Literacy Camp
