Visiting authors to present a ‘backdoor to enlightenment’

Backdoor

A Tibetan monk and his non-Buddhist coauthor will share their philosophies on achieving personal goals at a free talk on campus next week.

Za Rinpoche, a student of the Dalai Lama, and author Ashley Nebelsieck will present “Backdoor to Enlightenment: Eight Steps to Living Your Dreams and Changing Your World” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, in Cline Library Assembly Hall.

The pair will discuss the core concepts of their new book—how readers of any faith “can achieve happiness through how they perceive their own life, which we all have the capacity to control and change,” said Tricia Fortin, a health educator for Employee Assistance and Wellness, which is sponsoring the talk.
