NAU invites community to donate to United Way of Northern Arizona campaign

The last day to donate to United Way of Northern Arizona’s annual campaign is Dec. 15, and faculty and staff are encouraged to give.

Northern Arizona University and United Way of Northern Arizona (UWNA) have been working together for 50 years to support the Flagstaff community and are hoping to continue this tradition through donations raised in this year’s United Way campaign.

President Rita Cheng and her husband, Tom Cheng, who were co-chairs of last year’s campaign, encouraged NAU faculty and staff to contribute to UWNA’s mission to make lasting changes and improve lives.

“We are eager to continue our support this year and hope you will do the same,” she said.

This year, NAU’s leadership set the pace for the United Way campaign and raised more than $28,000.

UWNA agencies and programs provide critical services to the Flagstaff community, such as a new initiative focusing on children’s education. LAUNCH is working to ensure all children, regardless of background or socio-economic status, have the opportunity for a world-class education from kindergarten to post-secondary education or training.
