Vehicle and pedestrian traffic on the Flagstaff campus along San Francisco Street will be rerouted next week due to construction, and several parking lots will be closed Friday, July 1, in preparation for the project.

Trenching will begin Tuesday, July 5, along San Francisco Street between Mountain View Drive and University Drive to install gas, water and storm lines. The project is expected to be complete Aug. 4.

To facilitate a clean closure of the road and prepare an alternative traffic route, parking lots 27, 28 and 31 will be closed Friday, July 1.

Beginning July 5, vehicle traffic will be redirected through parking lots 28 and 31 just west of San Francisco Street. Pedestrian traffic will be limited to the east side of San Francisco Street.

Travelers should anticipate delays and use alternate routes if possible.
