  • Tasauna LaShae Brown and James Sweetman spent two weeks in Washington, D.C., during winter break participating in the Inside Washington 2018 seminar. These students learned about today’s most pressing issues through policy, advocacy and the media.
  • On Jan. 17, astronomy master’s student Nathan Smith presented research on Mars’ largest moon at NASA’s Small Bodies Assessment Group meeting. He spoke on “A Thermophysical Model of Phobos,” explaining how the surface of Mars’ largest moon heats up and cools down over time.
  • Sophomore Chiara Tomasetti was named Big Sky Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week after dominating in doubles and being the only singles match to go into three this weekend in the season opener against Arizona State.
  • On Monday, 42 Northern Arizona University student-athletes were selected for the Fall Big Sky Fall All-Academic team:
