Strategic plan fine-tuned

NAU’s 2010 strategic plan, titled “Quest for Success and Sustainability,” has been finalized, and a printed version of the plan will be distributed to faculty and staff this week.

“The strategic plan is an important tool that guides our budgeting and communicates our institutional culture and values with external stakeholders,“ said Pat Haeuser, vice president for Planning, Budget and Institutional Effectiveness.

Updated on a triennial basis, the strategic plan guides divisions, units and departments as they articulate their respective strategic and action plans.

“Three years ago we overhauled our strategic plan quite significantly,” Haeuser said. “In this year’s planning cycle the council mostly fine-tuned the strategies while keeping the organizing framework essentially unchanged.”

The 2010 plan is a result of collaborative efforts by university students, faculty, staff and committee and council members. The plan was completed and published by the Strategic Planning and Budget Council.
