‘Climate change evangelist’ speaking on campus

Katherine Hayhoe, director of the Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University, will present “Climate Change: Fact or Fiction?” at a free public lecture at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Cline Library’s Assembly Hall.

Hayhoe is a co-author of A Climate for Change: Global Warming Facts for Faith-Based Decisions. Her work as a climate change evangelist is featured in the documentary series “Years of Living Dangerously” and “The Secret Life of Scientists and Engineers.” In 2012, Hayhoe was named one of Christianity Today’s 50 Women to Watch and in 2014, she was named among the top 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine for her work toward improving the environment.
