Rock around the du Bois Center at annual Employee Appreciation Mixer

rock around the clock

Break out your blue suede shoes and poodle skirts for NAU’s 14th annual Employee Appreciation Mixer from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, in the du Bois Center Ballroom.

You’ll dig the ’50s rock-n-roll theme with an era-inspired menu as departments across campus host information tables with games and raffles for a peachy-keen assortment of prizes and give-aways.

Departments have been reserving their tables for weeks and two plaques will be awarded to the ones that best adapt the ’50s theme—one by popular vote and one from the mixer committee. Departments have until March 6 to reserve a table. Download the form online.

Door prizes include a three-month family membership to Summit Health & Fitness, guest passes to the Arboretum of Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon Railway, lodging vouchers for the Radisson Poco Diablo Resort in Sedona, and to Laughlin, Nevada’s Pioneer Hotel and Gambling Hall and Avi Resort and Casino, and gift certificates from many local restaurants and businesses.

The Employee Appreciation Mixer is sponsored by the President’s Office and the Classified Staff Advisory Council, with help from the Service Professional Advisory Council, and is open to staff, faculty and administrators. For information, call MaryLou Galyon, CSAC president, at (928) 523-8805.
