Help the pain go away with NAU’s free physical therapy clinic

NAU Physical Therapy

Jan. 29, 2018

The Northern Arizona University physical therapy clinic provides rehabilitation for strains, sprains, aches and pains. Offering three free visits, the clinic helps people who are uninsured, underinsured or financially challenged.

During the first visit, a physical therapy doctoral student and a clinician team member will meet with the patient to discuss medical history and conduct a physical exam. Once the exam is completed, different treatment options are shared with the patient.

The next two visits are spent working on the previously decided on treatment options and observing how the patient responds to them. By the end of the third visit, the patient will have an effective treatment plan that provides exercises they can do at home.

In addition to providing service free of charge to community members, the clinic provides doctoral students with practice hours and hands-on experience.

The clinic is open on Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Health and Human Services building. To make an appointment call (928) 523-4092 or email nauptclinic@nau.edu. Appointments are limited.
