Phoenix Biomedical Campus to host presentation by wounded warrior advocate

Remsburg

An honored soldier will present his story of perseverance and recovery during an appearance Oct. 26 at the Phoenix Biomedical Campus.

Sgt. 1st Class (Ret.) Cory Jacob Remsburg, who was recognized during President Obama’s 2014 State of the Union address, will speak to students from Northern Arizona University and the University of Arizona.

The presentation, scheduled for 12–1 p.m. in room B-108, is sponsored by the NAU Department of Occupational Therapy as part of Disability Awareness Month.

Remsburg has become a national spokesperson and advocate for wounded warriors. He served in Iraq and Afghanistan as an Army Ranger, and was severely injured during his 10th combat rotation in October 2009. His long road to recovery continues at his home in Phoenix, where he lives while continuing to take his message across the country.
