Old Main is undergoing some repairs to ensure safety and increase the building’s longevity.
The exterior stonework is being restored or replaced, and the roof is being resurfaced. Work began this week and is scheduled to continue through Oct. 26.
All work associated with this project has undergone extensive review and approval from the state Historic Preservation Office. The $500,000 project is being paid for by available building renewal funds.
Parking around the building will be affected in order to prevent any damage to personal vehicles. Notice of parking closure will be out the night before any work commences.
