NAU’s warm clothing drive comes to an end, volunteers needed

Donation boxes around campus are growing fuller by the day as warm clothing items continue to pour in. The CSAC Warm Clothing Drive, which has asked faculty and staff for new and gently used coats, sweaters, gloves, hats, socks and blanket donations, will end Nov. 11.

Last year we had a total of 1,800 clothing items donated, which we sorted and distributed to four local shelters,” said CSAC Treasurer Sharon Faith Chief-Yazzie. This is a big task and with our low membership, we need volunteers to get it done this year.”

The Classified Staff Advisory Council is asking for volunteers on Nov. 14-15 to help sort through the collected items, and distribute to shelters around town.

To register to volunteer, please e-mail csac.4u@nau.edu.
