NAU’s Flagstaff campus experienced its first snow of the season this week, and faculty, staff and students can take several steps to stay informed when the weather affects university operations.

  • Visit the NAU home page
  • Listen to local radio stations
  • Go to MyNAU and check out Announcements
  • Sign up for NAU Alert and receive text messages regarding weather-related closures or other emergencies
  • Follow us on Twitter or become a fan on Facebook

During inclement weather, the university may remain open for normal business, schedule a delayed start, cancel classes or cancel operations except for essential services on the Flagstaff campus.

The decision generally is made before 6 a.m., with the determination to cancel evening classes made between 3 and 4 p.m.

The university will send out an NAU Alert text message in the event that classes or university operations are on a delayed start or canceled.
