NAU Lyric Theater produces loved classics, premieres opera

Comedy and love inspire an evening of fun and enchantment during the Northern Arizona University Lyric Theater season opener November 3 through 5 at NAU Ardrey Memorial Auditorium.

NAU Lyric Theater presents three one-act comic operas in its season opener titled For the Love of Three Operas. Directed by Professor Eric Gibson, each performance features two classic short operas and a premiere by NAU music professor, Judith Cloud.

More than 75 NAU students are involved onstage, backstage and in the orchestra in creating For the Love of Three Operas.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3 and Friday. Nov. 4, and at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 5 in NAU’s Ardrey Memorial Auditorium. Tickets are $22 for adults, $18 for seniors, $10 for NAU employees and $6 for NAU Students and children. For tickets go to NAU’s Central Ticket Office or call 928-523-5661.
