NAU hosting summit to further opportunities for Native American students

Northern Arizona University will host the third annual Summit of Arizona Community College and Indian Nations and Tribes on April 19 in Flagstaff.

The summit will host numerous community colleges, Indian nations, tribal community based organizations, Arizona State University, the University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University. This year’s theme is “Pathways to Success: Best Practices to Support American Indian Students.”

The summit aims to increase collaboration and partnerships to better support Native American students pursuing a college education. Tribal leaders are invited to discuss strategies for developing and improving relationship building between higher education institutions and tribes in Arizona.
