Doris Springer-Martin, co-founder of the Martin Springer Institute at NAU, will sign copies of her book, Kiss Every Step, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at the NAU Bookstore.
Kiss Every Step reveals the perils, hardships and triumphs of Martin’s family as they struggled through the Holocaust in Poland.
HI, When I went to my son’s graduation at NAU in 2013, every tourist/gift shop I went in had this book. I became very interested in it when I saw that Doris Martin has signed it. I bought it, brought it home to Hemet and it sat there for 6 month’s. One day I started reading it and cried after every chapter. I didn’t put it down until the next week when I had finished reading it. My heart ached for all. My son is still at NAU working on his Master’s in Physics. Last night he went and listened to the people who spoke at the Martin Springer Institute. He has become very interested in the history of the Holocaust. He listened to another person speak a few months ago and bought me the book Hilter’s Furies. I have been reading it and I never even thought about the women during this terrible time. I just thought it was the men. These heartless women were just as bad if not worse than the men.
Thank you for having this institute. Everyone should know about this tragic event in our history and never forget. Carol
