Holiday tradition continues with annual ‘Messiah’ performance

The Master Chorale of Flagstaff, a community chorus composed of singers from throughout the area, will perform “Wondrous Skies,” Handel’s Messiah, at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at Trinity Heights United Methodist Church, 3600 N. Fourth Street.

Conducted by music professor Edith A. Copley, the performance also features NAU voice faculty Deborah RaymondJudith CloudRicardo Pereira and Allen Saunders as vocal soloists.

Handel’s Messiah has been an annual holiday tradition in Flagstaff for more than 35 years. This well-known Baroque masterpiece will feature a vocal solo quartet and chamber orchestra joining the Master Chorale.

Tickets are $20 for adults; $18 for seniors; and $6 for students, and are available in advance from NAU Central Ticketing Office at (928) 523-5661.
