The Go BIG for Parkinson’s walk/run will take place Saturday, Oct. 18. Participants can choose from a 2K, 5K or 10K option. The 10K will begin at 9:45 a.m. and the 2K and 5K will start at 10 a.m. at the Health Professions building. The cost is $10 for the 2k and $25 for the 5K and 10K.

Since 2008, the event has raised more than $60,000 to support Parkinson’s programs in the state. After raising $12,000 in 2013, the group hopes to “go big” for the cause and raise $15,000 this year.

A silent auction will take place after the race.
