Forum scheduled to discuss campus and community safety

A campus safety discussion will bring together faculty, staff, students and community organizations to share information about safety measures on campus and in the Flagstaff community.

“Campus and Community Safety: It’s Everybody’s Business,” will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, in the du Bois Center Ballroom.

The program will feature a panel discussion moderated by Rick Brandel, dean of students, as well as a question-and-answer session and an information fair featuring the following campus and community organizations:

  • NAU’s Counseling and Testing Center
  • NAU Police Department
  • Fronske Health Center
  • Employee Assistance and Wellness
  • Student Life
  • Flagstaff Fire Department
  • Flagstaff Police Department
  • Flagstaff Medical Center
  • Coconino County Search and Rescue

“It is my sincere desire that all members of the campus community, and particularly our students, take the opportunity to learn how they can make safety an important consideration in every aspect of their lives,” Brandel said.
