Escape expensive meals with a taste of The Inn at NAU

With low prices, tasty food and atmospheric outdoor dining on the Garden Terrace Patio, the Inn at NAU is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or lunch this summer.

Beginning Wednesday, May 30, The Inn will be open to the public with a daily breakfast buffet, served 7 to 9 a.m. Monday through Friday and 7 to 11 a.m. on weekends as well as lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. during the week. Reservations for lunch are preferred.

Lunch specials, such as a Cajun au gratin chicken sandwich with beer-battered onion straws, add a daily dose of variety to the menu for only $7.95.

Besides giving customers more for their money, The Inn also allows people like Anthony Alexander, student assistant general manager, to learn about the restaurant business.

Alexander, a junior hotel and restaurant management major, said he enjoys working at The Inn because it’s a fun learning experience. “It allows us to get training in a laid-back environment,” he said. “Here, they sit down with you and tell you what you’re doing wrong if you make a mistake. Things would be a bit different if we were working at a Marriot.”

The Inn at NAU is the “living laboratory” of the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. Student employees gain real-world skills and experience, and the food is tip- and tax-free to all customers.
