Northern Arizona University’s official 21-day enrollment numbers are in for the fall, confirming a ninth straight year of growth.

Enrollment at the Flagstaff campus reached 19,950, up from 19,220 a year ago. First-time freshmen increased from 4,728 to 5,035 and transfer students are up from 2,478 to 2,746.

Our ongoing success ensures a flow of highly skilled graduates and makes us a strong economic contributor to the local community, the region and the state.”

Online enrollment is up 16 percent to 4,440 students.

The international population also continues to expand, with 1,246 students enrolled this school year, a 15.4 percent increase from last fall.
