Counseling groups available to help students

NAU’s Counseling and Testing Center offers a range of professionally led counseling groups for students on topics from general therapy to alcohol and drug issues.

Students can call (928) 523-2261, or visit the center in building 26A next to Adel Math building, to make an appointment for an initial meeting with a group leader.

The Counseling and Testing Center offers a variety of services to enhance the psychological growth, emotional well-being and learning potential of students, including short-term psychological counseling in individual, couples, and group formats, institutional testing, mental-health and substance-abuse educational programming, and consultation.

Staff and faculty with concerns about a student’s mental health are encouraged to consult with the center’s staff.

The center is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with consultation available for psychological emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
