Committees named for AD, basketball coach searches

Two NAU committees have been named to work with Parker Executive Search to select a men’s basketball coach and an athletic director.

Executive Vice President MJ McMahon said the search firm will narrow down a list of candidates for each position and then hand over the interview process to each of the committees. A representative from Parker was on campus Monday to meet with various NAU groups to discuss university values, commitment and expectations.

McMahon will chair the committee to find a replacement for Athletic Director Jim Fallis, who has announced that he will not seek an extension of his contract, which expires June 30. Another committee has been formed to find a replacement for interim head basketball coach Dave Brown.

  • Tom DeStefano, faculty athletics representative
  • Kelly Kasprzyk, Flagstaff Realtor, Lumberjack Athletic Association board member
  • Pam Lowie, assistant athletic director/academics
