Northern Arizona University’s Civic Service Institute (CSI) invites local participants to honor those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11 attacks. The remembrance will include two public events:
- 9/11 Day of Remembrance – Starting at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 10, help honor those who lost lives by planting flags on the Flagstaff City Hall south lawn. Volunteers also are needed to remove the flags at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 11.
- 9/11 Day of Service – Friends, family and co-workers are invited to sponsor a “thank you” box for Flagstaff first responders. These boxes may be filled with items such as pre-packaged foods, books, thank-you notes, games, etc. To participate please contact the CSI.
- Community Volunteer Fair – From 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 10, Flagstaff City Hall will host a number of local organizations who are looking to recruit volunteers for their organizational needs. The doors will be open to all ages and the general public.
