Citywide shred-a-thon and drug dump Saturday

The NAU Police Department is supporting this weekend’s Dump the Drugs event where outdated and unused prescription and over-the-counter drugs can be disposed of properly.

Citizens Against Substance Abuse is hosting this semiannual event, aimed at protecting against improperly discarded medications that can make their way into the water supply.

Additionally, up to two bankers’ size boxes can be dropped off for free shredding.

Collections will be taken from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at City Hall’s west parking lot, 211 W. Aspen Ave.
