Choral program caps off year with five concerts

The Northern Arizona University choral program concludes the 2015-16 year with jazz ensembles and choral performances.

Vocal jazz ensembles High Altitude and Northern Voices will hold a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30, in Ardrey Memorial Auditorium.

NAU Choral Studies will present its annual Spring Festival of Choirs at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 1, in Ardrey Memorial Auditorium. Five choirs, NAU Shrine of the Ages Choir, Men’s Chorale, Women’s Chorale, University Singers and the Harold M. Harter Memorial Handbell Choir will perform. Tickets are $13 for adults; $10 for NAU faculty, staff and seniors; free for students with a valid NAU ID.

The dynamic Brigham Young University Singers will join NAU’s Shrine of the Ages choir to perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7, in NAU Ardrey Memorial Auditorium. Tickets are $20 for adults; $15 for seniors; $10 for NAU faculty and staff; $8 for children and students with a valid NAU ID.

The concert season will conclude with two free concerts. The Shrine of the Ages choir will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 6, at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Chapel, 16 W. Cherry Ave. A second performance will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 8, at the Church of the Red Rocks, 54 Bowstring Dr., Sedona.
