Sports fans will get a weekend full of action as NAU soccer faces a conference rival and football travels to Big Sky Country to face a tough Montana team.
“Girls Soccer at the Summit Night” begins Friday when NAU begins Big Sky Conference play against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds at 7 p.m. in Lumberjack Stadium. The game will be televised on Fox College Sports.
The Montana Grizzlies await the Lumberjack football team for a 12:30 Saturday afternoon game in Missoula. Granny’s Closet is hosting a Game Watch with ROOT Sports televising the game on DirectTV and Dish Network. Check out Big Talker Radio, FM 104.1, for play-by-play as well.
To get your feet wet before football, get a sneak peek of the 2012-13 swimming and diving team during the NAU Swimming and Diving Pentathlon at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, in the Wall Aquatic Center. Admission is free.
Single-game tickets for are available from the NAU Central Ticket Office, but the best deal in town is the Sports Pass, which gets you season tickets to soccer, volleyball, women’s basketball as well as men’s and women’s track and field.
