The NAU Bookstore will host a chat and book signing with renowned artist Bruce Aiken from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8, in the bookstore’s fireplace lounge.
Aiken will discuss his life as an artist and sign copies of his book, Bruce Aiken’s Grand Canyon – An Intimate Affair, a retrospective of his works displayed in the Museum of Northern Arizona.
Aiken received an honorary doctorate of humane letters from NAU in May and recently was named the university’s Honors Artist in Residence, under which he will teach master painting in the spring. He has created special commissions for the White House and NASA, and has been featured on the History Channel, NPR and in National Geographic magazine.
