Book signing and presentation on building sustainable communities

Daniel Kemmis will discuss effective environmental leadership in a presentation, “Visions of Liveable Communities in the West: Integrating People, Landscapes and Politics,” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 29, in Cline Library Assembly Hall, with a book signing to follow.

Awarded the Wallace Stegner Prize for sustained contributions to the cultural identity of the West, Kemmis has been a long-standing, recognized author and political leader in the areas of community, regionalism and human society in the West.

The event is free and open to the public, sponsored by Northern Arizona University, the Doris Duke Conservation Fellows Program and the Coconino County Sustainable Economic Development Initiative.
