Students from the NAU Upward Bound, Four Corners Math Science Upward Bound, and Nizhoni Academy turned downtown streets gold during last year’s Independence Day Parade in Flagstaff.

Join NAU in painting the town True Blue and Gold during this year’s Independence Day Parade on Thursday, July 4, in downtown Flagstaff.

Be a part of the NAU entry and walk with colleagues, students and alumni. Participants will meet at 8:30 a.m. at staging area C, located on West Fine Avenue between North Humphreys and North Beaver Streets. The parade begins promptly at 9 a.m.

Only vehicles that are part of a parade entry may park in the staging area. In addition to wearing NAU gear, it is recommended that participants bring sunscreen and a hat.

The university will be closed Thursday, July 4, in observance of the holiday and will resume normal summer business hours Friday.
