Northern Arizona University is rolling out the blue carpet for ESPN’s inaugural Pledge Your Allegiance for College Colors Day to call for fan support that could mean more dollars for student scholarship funds.
NAU is among 165 participating colleges and universities looking to their spirited fans to make daily pledges during the month of August on the College Colors Day website. The college or university that scores the highest pledge count will earn a $10,000 donation toward the general scholarship fund.
In addition to pledging allegiance to NAU, you are encouraged to participate in College Colors Day by wearing your True Blue apparel on Friday, Aug. 31.
Lumberjack fans can visit daily to register their pledge by visiting www.espn.com/collegecolorsday. All registrants are entered into a weekly drawing for $50 gift cards to the ESPN Shop and one of two grand prizes including a $500 shopping spree at the ESPN Shop.
NAU currently is in fourth place in the Big Sky Conference, trailing both Montana schools and UC Davis.
