Throughout the years, Northern Arizona University has had its share of name changes:

    • Northern Arizona Normal School (1899 to 1925)
    • Northern Arizona State Teachers College (1925 to 1929)
    • Arizona State Teachers College at Flagstaff (1929 to 1945)
    • Arizona State College at Flagstaff (1945 to 1966)
    • Northern Arizona University (1966 to present)
