Rounds of golf, hotel stays and a chance at Final Four tickets are part of the items available during the 18th annual Axer Auction, which benefits the Northern Arizona University Athletic Scholarship Fund.

The event is scheduled during Homecoming Weekend, from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, in the du Bois Center Ballroom.

This year’s auction theme is Safari Sunset, featuring safari and jungle decorations. Enjoy both live and silent auctions, a reverse raffle, food from Outback Steakhouse and an open bar with drinks provided by Golden Eagle Distributors and Heck Estates. Soda, water and coffee will be available as well.

Items include rounds of golf at some of Arizona’s finest golf courses, two-night stays at many of Arizona’s premier hotels, numerous restaurant gift certificates, signed jerseys and other sports memorabilia and four tickets to the NCAA men’s basketball Final Four. Participants also will have a chance to enter a raffle for cash prizes.

Tickets are $25 for admission into the auction and are available from Lumberjack Athletic Association Board members, NAU coaches or by calling Maria Bruggeman at (928) 523-5353 or Maria.Bruggeman@nau.edu. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

This year’s auction has corporate tables available for $500, which includes eight dinner tickets and eight raffle tickets.
