Arizona governor appoints new regent

Larry Penley

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey has appointed Larry Penley, former professor and higher education leader, to the Arizona Board of Regents.

Penley brings more than 40 years experience to the board, having served as president of Colorado State University and the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He was an associate professor and associate dean at the University of Texas at San Antonio before assuming the role as dean of Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business.

Penley will take the place of Mark Killian, who left the board earlier this month.
